It was a Glenn Maxwell show at Bengaluru on the other night against Virat Kohli-led side. The flamboyant cricketer has done brilliantly to make things fall in place for the team. Meanwhile, the former Australian skipper Michael Clarke is pretty happy to see Maxwell leading from the front. Further, he showered huge words of praise on the swashbuckling batsman.
Glenn Maxwell batted brilliantly for the team in the first T20I of the game. It was his knock, which really helped Australia to near the total on a surface, which was really tough to bat on. He followed it up beautifully by smashing a scintillating unbeaten century in the second and final game of the series.
Glenn Maxwell led from the front – Michael Clarke
Speaking of the knock, Michael Clarke quoted that Maxwell has been the big part of the current Australian team. He added that Glenn has been around with the current team for a long time now and he is happy to see him delivering the goods consistently.

Further, he went on to add saying that the century from Maxwell at M Chinnaswamy Stadium was one of the best knocks he has ever witnessed. And also, Michael Clarke showed his optimistic side by hoping him to deliver the same in the upcoming few games for Australia.
”Yeah, it was fantastic to see Glenn Maxwell playing the way he used to play. I think he led the team from the front with the bat. He has been a big part of the Australia setup for a long time now,” Michael Clarke said.

”So, I think, he has shown that experience in the innings. I think to make a hundred in the second innings is as good as something which I have seen in the game of cricket,” Michael Clarke quoted to CricketNext after the conclusion of the T20I series.
Well, as Michael Clarke said, it was a stunning knock from Maxwell, especially, while chasing a daunting total. Currently, Maxwell is in form of his life and pretty aware of conditions in India, as he played a lot of cricket in India. He would be hoping to put the same show in ODI series as well.
