India vs Australia 2019: Jason Behrendorff Eyeing World Cup Spot With A Performance Against India

It has been a good last one and half year for Jason Behrendorff in his cricketing career. He attracted the contracts across the globe in the shorter formats and also made his international debut. Meanwhile, he is eyeing to perform against India and claim his spot for the ICC World Cup 2019.
Jason Behrendorff came into the limelight with his performances in domestic cricket and then replicated the same in the T20I series against India to attract an IPL contract. Now, he is looking to bag a ticket to England for the prestigious event.

Speaking of his cricketing career, Jason quoted that he took the right decision to leave red-ball cricket for a while, which toiled his body. He feels that the decision has been brilliant, which helped him grow as a cricketer and get chances to feature in many tournaments across the globe.
“It’s unreal. I guess I look back at the decision I made a little while ago, in conjunction with the support staff, on focussing on the white ball. I’m really, really happy about that decision now. I’ve had some great opportunities so far and I’m really looking forward to another tour with Australia,” he said to Sydney Morning Herald.

Further, he added that this would be his opportunity to perform for Australia and claim his spot for the ICC World Cup 2019. Behrendorff enjoyed quite a bit of success in Indian conditions, which would aid him when they take on Indian National Cricket Team.
“It’s an opportunity to play well for Australia and with the World Cup coming up that’s on everyone’s radar at the moment, being such a prevalent tournament and such a good one to be a part of,” Behrendorff said. That’s a big goal for me and to continue playing good cricket and put my name forward again. That’s all I can do is play my best and do my thing over in India and hopefully, that will continue to get me selected further down the track.”
Well, as Jason Behrendorff said, this would be a great chance for him to make things fall in place. Most probably, he will be added in the playing XI for the team, which means that he would get the ample chances to display his class.
Moreover, he also got a contract with the Mumbai Indians. In order to perform well for the team, he would like to assess the Indian conditions as quickly as possible.
