It has been a brilliant last few games for Mahendra Singh Dhoni, especially, against Australian Cricket Team. The flamboyant batsman collected man of the series when India toured to Australian, now, he once again started the series against them in a positive note. Meanwhile, the southpaw of Australia Usman Khawaja lauds MS Dhoni.

During first ODI, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman scored a gritty half-century and in the process, became only the fourth Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid to complete 13,000 runs in List A cricket.

MS Dhoni just executes well – Usman Khawaja

Meanwhile, the opening batsman of Australia Usman Khawaja showered words of praise on MS Dhoni. He quoted that Dhoni got the great skills of executing the plans as planned. He believes it is something, where experience will help a lot to the player.

Further, he went on to add saying that the wicketkeeper-batsman has achieved a lot of victories in that fashion for India, which is a tough thing to do so. Khawaja also explained the change of gears that the former Indian skipper takes during the chase.

“He (Dhoni) just executes well. He has the last three games, just stayed calm and backed himself to take it deep. Then when he needs to he hits a boundary. You can tell he sort of changes gears, he’ll hit single, single, two then try to hit a boundary,” Khawaja was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

”It doesn’t always come off but the majority of times it does. He does that really well, that’s experience,” he added

He scored an unbeaten 59 while Kedar Jadhav top-scored for India with a sublime 81-run-knock. This was the duo’s second 100 plus partnership in ODIs and both have come against Australia in a winning cause.

Meanwhile, for Dhoni, it was his fourth straight half-century against Australia in ODIs this year having scored three back to back fifties in the away series, earlier this year.

However, it has been a brilliant show from Dhoni and Jadhav on the other day. Now, both the sides will move to Nagpur to play the second game of the series on March 5th 2019.
