The Indian National Cricket team is currently in Ranchi – the hometown of former skipper MS Dhoni, to play their third ODI against Australia on March 8 (Friday). Meanwhile, with a 2-0 lead in the series, the men in blues will look to wrap up the series in the third game.
India 2-0 up in the series
Virat Kohli & Co kept their nerves to seal the exciting clash against Australia at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur to go 2-0 up in the series. Meanwhile, they took an early lead in the opening game of the five-match series beating the Aussies by six wickets. Meanwhile, the visiting side put up a good chase on a tricky surface with Marcus Stoinis leading the chase with the tail. However, Australia got off to a good start with Aaron Finch finally returning to form. The opening pair added 83 runs before the Indian National Cricket team drew the first blood. Some useful contribution from Peter Handscomb and Alex Carey kept the Aussies in the game before Marcus Stoinis stretched the game till the wire. However, Jasprit Bumrah bowled beautifully in the 46th over to turn the game before Vijay Shankar finished it off.

Previously, Virat Kohli scored a majestic hundred to guide India post 250 runs in the board after Finch decided to bowl first. He and Shankar shared a crucial stand for the fourth-wicket to bail India out after losing back to back wickets. Shankar was of top-class today dominating the Aussie bowlers with great authority. Kohli departed scoring 116 runs before India crumbled to 250 runs.
India attends dinner as Dhoni’s house
Currently in a good space after two early wins, the Indian National Cricket team attended a team dinner at MS Dhoni’s house. Dhoni – who lives in Ranchi and his wife Sakshi Dhoni invited the group for a grand dinner, and everybody accepted it. The players were all seen thanking the veteran cricketer for a special night, and Yuzvendra Chahal was a new addition in the bandwagon.
“Thank you for last night @msdhoni bhai and @SaakshiSRawat bhabhi,” Yuzvendra Chahal tweeted.
With the third ODI lined up, Indian National Cricket team will aim to seal off the clash at Ranchi. The players have ticked all the boxes and have looked in great touch and are eager to settle things off. Moreover, it will also give the management to rotate the players in the squad as they march toward their last preparation before the World Cup.
