India vs Bangladesh 2019: 1st Test, Indore – Match Preview, Pitch Report, Weather Forecast, Predicted XI & Match Prediction; Following the T20I Series, now, it time for both teams to lock horns in red-ball cricket before shifting the action to pink ball. With the series only include a couple of matches, both the teams would like to start the series on a positive note.

The Indian National Cricket Team would like to continue their dominance in the longer version of the game and wants to consolidate their position in the ICC World Test Championship. On the other hand, the upcoming Test match is Bangladesh’s first game under the schedule of the championship.

Virat Kohli is back to lead the team:

Although India rested a few players in the T20Is, Virat Kohli and Mohammad Shami are back for the Indians, who look to maintain a perfect record in the Test format this year. The only major player missing in the squad will be Jasprit Bumrah, who is undergoing his rehab process.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will face a trial against spin as they begin their campaign in pursuit of creating a few upsets in the World Test Championship. Bangladesh will miss the services of their star all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan, and will be led by a relatively inexperienced skipper in Mominul Haque.

India should field it’s strongest side considering the nature of the pitch. Fielding three pacers might be the way to go for the Indians with Ravindra Jadeja and Wriddhiman Saha doing well with the bat against South Africa. Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal will open the batting with the duo of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli following them.

Shadman Islam to open:

Mominul Haque leads Bangladesh for the first time and will be eager to get the squad combination right. With Tamim Iqbal not available, Shadman Islam should open the batting alongside Imrul Kayes. The middle-order is key with Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad capable of scoring big runs against any opposition.

Coming to the bowling department, the Indian team has become a force to reckon in this department. Meanwhile, Bangladesh will depend on their spin resources and Mustafizur Rahman. All in all, a decent contest is expected at Indore.

Pitch Report:

Mostly, the pitch would offer great assistance for the batsmen on Day 1 and Day 2. The deck also looks solid for the fast bowlers to try out their bouncer plans and can yield the swing in the morning session. The reverse swing will make an impact and the spinners will come into play from the third session of day 2.

Weather Forecast:

Well, it is going to be pretty decent weather throughout the Test match. No rain is on the cards and the pleasant weather would greet the players. Audience can visit the stadiums with the heat of the sun being pretty low compared to the rest of the days.

Predicted Playing XI:

India: Rohit Sharma, Mayank  Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha(WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami.

Bangladesh: Imrul, Shadman, Mominul (C), Rahim, Mahmudullah, Liton (WK), Nayeem, Mehedy, Taijul, Mustafizur and Al Amin.

Match Prediction:

Without a ray of doubt, the Indian National Cricket team will be the favourites to win the game. The new-look Bangladesh side is pretty inexperienced to deal with the blistering lineup of India, especially, in Indian conditions. However, you never know in the game of Test cricket, as couple of good sessions can change the entire result of the game.
