Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Kiran More believes all-rounder Hardik Pandya badly needs game time. Pandya’s suspension was lifted by the Committee of Administrators yesterday. The Baroda all-rounder was criticized for his controversial misogynist statements on Koffee with Karan. Thus, Pandya had to miss the three-match ODI series against Australia.

Furthermore, Pandya went on to miss the first ODI against New Zealand. However, Pandya has rejoined the squad and he is expected to the part of India’s playing XI for the third ODI against the Kiwis.

Pandya will like to hit the ground running.

“I am very happy that the two boys will be able to resume their cricket again. Hardik, especially, needs some games as he was returning from an injury. I can’t wait to see them in action again,” the former India stumper told Mid-day yesterday.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya had suffered a low back injury in the Asia Cup while playing against arch-rivals Pakistan. Thus, he went on to miss the series against Windies as well as the Test series against Australia.

Thus, he hasn’t played a lot of International cricket in the recent past. Pandya is India’s first choice all-rounder and it is pivotal that he gets more game time before the 2019 World Cup.

“He looked in excellent touch. We had a good chat and discussed the plans for the World Cup,” said the 1987 and 1992 World Cupper.

Rahul can play for India A.

On the other hand, KL Rahul is expected to join India A squad for the remaining unofficial One-Dayers against England Lions in Thiruvananthapuram. Rahul can also join Karnataka’s squad if they qualify for the final of the ongoing Ranji Trophy. Karnataka is currently locking horns with Saurashtra in the semifinal contest.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya must have learned a hard lesson for his immature statements. He will be more sensible when he will encounter the media.

India is currently leading 1-0 in the ongoing series against New Zealand. Thus, the Men in Blue will like to continue their impetus against the Kiwis.
