We Knew It Would Be Tricky – Kane Williamson
Speaking of the loss, the skipper of New Zealand, Kane Williamson quoted that it was a tricky total and the batsmen once again failed to deliver. He also credited Indian team for their stunning effort throughout the series. Kane Williamson was pretty vocal on the surfaces as well.
The skipper also showered words of praise on Ambatri Rayudu for his special knock for the Indian cricket team. Further, he also added that the bowling effort from Indians have been brilliant.
”It was a different surface which certainly was a challenge. We saw that with the ball in hand. Got away from us towards the end which probably took them at par or probably more. Scoring rate never got away from us but it was just that we lost wickets at the wrong time. They did it pretty well through Rayudu with 90. For long parts, they didn’t score. We knew it was going to be tough. We know how well India bowl on any surface,” Kane Williamson quoted.
”Their accuracy. If we could’ve taken the partnerships deeper, like with Tom Latham and myself, it could’ve been different. Credit to India throughout this series. They’ve taught us a few lessons in our own conditions. They’re a world class outfit, they deserve the series win. We need to learn from these lessons. It’s a game of pressure. Throughout this series, they had us under more pressure than we would’ve liked,” he added.
Well, as Kane Williamson said, India has been brilliant in there defence on such a flat wicket in the second innings. All the bowlers put on the show at the right moment to steal the game away from Kiwis pockets.
However, it has been a stunning piece of cricket from Indian National Cricket Team. They have knocked down Kiwis pretty convincingly to bag the series with a 4-1 margin. Now, both the sides will lock horns in the shorter version of the game.
