India vs New Zealand 2019: Khaleel Ahmed Finishes With 48 Runs In 4 Overs, Twitter Reacts
Updated - 06 Feb 2019, 09:09 PM
It was a roller-coaster ride for Khaleel Ahmed in the last few months. He garnered huge praise for his incredible performances against Windies and Australia and then, suddenly, his poor performances let him warm the bench. Meanwhile, he failed to utilise the chance once again in the absence of the senior fast bowlers.
The ongoing T20I series is the best chance to press their case for the ICC World Cup 2019. However, Khaleel Ahmed is failing to make the most, in fact, he is losing out his impression to see the wrong side of things. He was whacked at 12 runs per over in the first T20I of the series.
Khaleel Ahmed leaked 12-per over:
Coming to the match, initially, it was Tim Seifert, who knocked the ball like a dream to give a flashy start for the team. He continued to smash even after the power play overs to make most of the opportunity in absence of Martin Guptill. his incredible effort pushed New Zealand to a massive 219-run tally on the board.
None of the Indian bowlers showed their class in defending the Kiwis batsmen. Every one of them including the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya was smashed out of the park with ease by the home team batsman.
In reply to chase, Indians never really got going, as Kiwis bowlers were pretty decent with their line and lengths. Lockie Ferguson was the star, who delivered the wickets when it requires the most. Ish Sodhi and Southee also chipped in at times.
All in all, Kiwis have outclassed Indians pretty convincingly in all the sections of the game to bag a massive 80-run victory. Tim Seiffert has been a star with the bat while Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee delivered with the ball.
Now, Indian National Cricket Team would like to make the most of the second T20I in order to stay in the series. Earlier, they bagged ODI series with a margin of 4-1.

Khaleel Ahmed and Siraj are given way too much chance. Not impressive at all.

Khaleel Ahmed looks like the bowlers of 90s. No pace, not much swing, no discipline over all.

Can’t win with Khaleel Ahmed in T20 and Vijay Shankar!!! No chance @ImRo45 @BCCI . Can’t chase the big target when there are no specialists bowlers and @imVkohli

"Khaleel Ahmed" should better start delivering. Shouldn't be the case like early days of Rohit Sharma, when he was given an extended run despite a series of bad scores until he became the player we know him today.

Sydney property prices are expensive, but if they get to Khaleel Ahmed and Hardik Pandya expensive, then we are in trouble. ??#NZvIND #NZvsIND #INDvNZ
