India vs New Zealand 2019: Watch Anushka Sharma Applauds Virat Kohli's Half-Century

Virat Kohli – The Run Machine is once again at it. The flamboyant batsman has shown his charisma at Bay Oval to get his 49th ODI half-century in the 3rd ODI game, which is also his last stint in the ongoing tour. Meanwhile, his wife, Anushka Sharma who is present in the venue applauded the effort of her husband Virat Kohli.

Chasing the moderate total on the board, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma started innings in a flash mode. However, Shikhar Dhawan was quick in walking back, who failed to convert his good 28-run knock.

Meanwhile, the other opener Rohit Sharma, who was in brilliant form continued it by adding yet another fifty to his name. The skipper Virat Kohli, who joined the vice-captain at the crease showed his class by finding the fence more often than not.

However, after smashing a brilliant 60-run knock, Virat Kohli perished away when he tried to lift Trent Boult over Henry Nicholls, who was pretty smart in judging the catch to perfection.

Earlier, in the day, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat. Once again, the hosts were kept under check by the Indian seam duo of Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In the powerplay overs, India conceded just 42 runs while picking up two wickets – for the sixth match in a row.

However, their stalwart Ross Taylor once again stood in the middle to repair the work. He scored a brilliant 93 before edging Mohammad Shami to Dinesh Karthik. It would have been a great century if he would have reached the figure. Nonetheless, it was a solid knock from Taylor.

Meanwhile, India is on a course to win the series with 2 games still left in the bank. This is some kind of a grand record for Virat Kohli, as India hardly tasted success in New Zealand.
