Well, if there is anything, which India missed in the absence of Hardik Pandya, it would be his impeccable fielding efforts for the team. After returning back to the team, Hardik Pandya showed what he brings to the table and took great applause from the greats of the game. Meanwhile, an incident proved his fitness ability as well, which is something Virat Kohli always makes his voice out.

It was in the 8th over of the game when Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor was at the crease. Taylor dropped the ball in front of mid-wicket and set himself for a quick single. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, who was guarding the area was accurate in hitting the stumps, however, Ross Taylor was safely inside the crease.

Hardik Pandya took a sharp catch of Kane Williamson:

What followed the effort was something exceptional, which really shows the fitness of Hardik Pandya. After knocking the stumps, Pandya covered 20 metres of ground in quick time to stop Kiwis from sealing an extra run for the team.

Earlier, the flamboyant all-rounder took a stunning catch when Yuzvendra Chahal tossed the ball up to Kane Williamson and the batsman, who was looking to shift gears, flicked it towards the short mid-wicket area. Out of nowhere, Pandya dived full length to his left and completed a screamer. Kiwi skipper had to leave the pitch for 28 (48), with 59-3 on the board.

Hardik Pandya finished with 2/45:

Then, he followed it up beautifully to send Henry Nicholls and Mitchell Santner back to the hut with his bowling. The wickets of the duo had made a major impact on the game, as it certainly thrashed the hopes of Kiwis scoring reaching 300 on the board.

It was an incredible effort by Hardik Pandya, as he delivered the goods despite coming into the game with a lot of hatred behind his back. Apart from all the other things, the amount of grit and determination shown by the youngster deserves great applause.

His brilliance hasn’t wasted, as Indian National Cricket Team comfortably sealed the series against Kiwis in the 3rd ODI. They are still a couple of games left in the series, in which, India would experiment with their combinations.
