India vs South Africa 2019: 3rd Test, Ranchi – Day 1 Report; Yet again, it was Indian National Cricket Team, who took the honours on Day 1 of a Test match. The brilliance from Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane helped Indians to sit in the driver seat of the final Test match at JSCA Complex, Ranchi.

It was once again Virat Kohli, who won the toss in the middle for India, as Proxy captain Temba Bavuma failed to live up to the trust of Faf du Plessis. India gave the maiden cap to the local kid Shahbaz Nadeem while South Africa made quite a few changes.

Rohit Sharma scored his 6th Test century:

Henrich Klassen replaced Bruyn while Linde and Piedt replaced Vernon Philander and Keshav Maharaj. Zubayr Hamza also made to the chart replacing Aiden Markram. The first one hour of play completely belongs to South Africa, as Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi delivered a scintillating spell.

The in-form batsman Mayank Agarwal walked back for a cheap score while Cheteshwar Pujara once again failed to tackle Kagiso Rabada. Thus, he registered yet another duck to his name. Well, the double centurion of previous game Virat Kohli too failed to get going in the middle.
