India vs South Africa 2020, 1st ODI: Series-Opener In Dharamsala Washed Out

After the forgettable tour of New Zealand, India will be looking to seek home comfort when they take on South Africa in the three-match ODI series, starting today. The Men in Blue will be looking to bounce back against South Africa. India suffered crushing whitewashes in the three-match ODI series and the two-match Test series after sweeping the five-match T20I series.
South Africa, on the other hand, will be high on confidence after beating Australia 3-0 in the ODIs. The win over Australia was their first series win in any format in the last 12 months. With the momentum on their side, the Proteas will be eager to make the most of it.
But then again beating India in India is arguably the toughest job in world cricket now and the visitors will have to play out of their skin to get a good result.

The toss has been delayed due to wet outfield. There is an inspection scheduled at 1:15 pm. It is raining heavily now and the chances of starting the game soon looks very bleak. Well, after a wait of almost four hours, the match has been finally called off without a ball being bowled.
The rain stopped for a while but it returned soon and dashed any hopes of action in Dharamsala. Umpires Joel Wilson and Virender Sharma deliberated during the rain – and eventually cancelled the match at 17:20 local time.
Both the team will now move to Lucknow for the second ODI on March 15. The third and final match of the series will take place on March 18 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
