India vs South Africa 2020: 1st ODI, Dharamshala Weather Forecast

India is all set to face South Africa at home for a three-match ODI series. The first game of the series will take place on March 12 at Dharamshala. Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock will lead the respective sides in the series.
Having had a forgetful outing in New Zealand recently, the Indian cricket team will look to reassert themselves in the 50-over format.
Kohli and his boys will like to return to their lost form before the start of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which begins from March 29.

For the hosts, the good news is that three of its key players, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have returned to the squad after a prolonged gap due to injuries.
South Africa, on the other hand, will be high in spirits when they take on Kohli’s boys, in the ODI series riding on the back of a clean sweep against Australia in the ODIs.

The hosts have a decent record at Dharamshala in the 50-over fold. The Men in Blue have played a total of four ODIs at this venue.
They have won two games and lost as many. They have a win percentage of 50 per cent at this venue. The two defeats that India have suffered came against England and Sri Lanka.
Talking about the visitors, the Proteas will play its first ODI at the venue on Thursday. They haven’t played a game until now on this ground which will make it worse for the visitors.

Dharamshala, as it mostly is, will stay pretty cool on match day as well. The weather forecast goes on to show that the temperature might fall as low as eight-degree Celsius on Thursday.
The maximum temperature is expected to go only till 12-degree Celsius and the conditions might be windy enough which will add to the swing of the ball.
There is also a good chance of precipitation on match day and rain might play a spoilsport at Dharamshala on March 12.
