India vs West Indies 2018: Stuart Law Suspended For First Two ODIs

West Indies coach Stuart Law suspended for two ODIs for breach of the ICC Code of conduct. As a result, he will not be in the dressing room with the team for the first two games of the upcoming series against India.
The former Australian cricketer was fined 100% of his match fee and earned three demerit points for a breach of the ICC’s code of conduct during the second Test against India in Hyderabad. Law was already carrying a demerit point from a previous sanction in May 2017, in a Test against Pakistan in Dominica. He now has three demerit points which is equivalent to suspension.

The incident which saw Law getting the demerit point happened on day three of second Test. Following the dismissal of Kieran Powell, Law went to the TV umpire’s room and made inappropriate comments. He then walked to the fourth umpire’s area and, in the presence of the players, again directed inappropriate comments at the fourth official.
Stuart Law has admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match-referee Chris Broad. As a result, there will be no formal hearing.
The visitors have already lost the Test series 2-0 and will be looking to put up a good show in the ODIs. The five-match series will get underway from October 21. Guwahati will host the series-opener before the two teams will take on each other at Indore (October 24), Pune (October 27), Mumbai (October 29) and Thiruvananthapuram (November 1).
