After India won the T20I series by 2-1 against West Indies, the visitors straight away responded with a sensational victory over the hosts and took a 1-0 lead in the first match of the three-match ODI series. West Indies beat India by 8 wickets with 13 balls to spare in their run-chase of 288 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on a slow wicket.
The second ODI will be played at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam today. India face a do-or-die situation in today’s match and Virat Kohli and Co will be looking forward to giving it their best shot in order to stay alive in the series. India have an impressive ODI record at home and will be favourites in this match.

On the other hand, West Indies will be vying to win this match in the hope of winning the series. They showed that they have enough potential to upset India in these conditions. Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope scored centuries each to help the team win the first match. The duo will be hoping to give absolutely everything in the upcoming match as well.
We bring you the Toss Report.
West Indies captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to field first in the second ODI.
Here is what both the captains said at the toss:
Kieron Pollard:
“Sometimes, you just want to see what you have to do. And night cricket, the balls come onto the bat better. That’s all in the past. At the end of the day, we have to deal with the present and that’s an opportunity to win a series and do the basics right. Two changes – Lewis comes in for Ambris, Khary Piere makes his debut for Walsh”
Virat Kohli:
“We wanted to field first. This is a ground where we have chased well. The pitch is better to play on than the last game. I think the dew was a massive factor in the last game. Hetmyer played brilliantly and Hope as well. We need to be more brave and bring in the intensity to the game. It boils down to small things. Our overseas record has been better. Shivam Dube misses out and Shardul Thakur comes in.”
Here is the playing XI of both the teams:
India:
Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav
West Indies:
Shai Hope(w), Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, Roston Chase, Kieron Pollard(c), Jason Holder, Keemo Paul, Alzarri Joseph, Sheldon Cottrell, Khary Pierre
