Team India continued their dominance as the wrap up the series beating Windies by 71 runs to seal the three-match T20I series with one match still to go.

Meanwhile, the Indian openers pounded on the Windies bowlers after Carlos Braithwaite opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Rohit Sharma after failing in the opening fixture absolutely hammered the bowlers while Shikhar Dhawan played second fiddle. Windies pacers started well with the new ball keeping India within four runs from the first two overs. It was Shikhar Dhawan’s who break the paddle with seventeen runs in the third over.

India continued their dominance as they notched 83 runs for no loss at the halfway mark. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan added 100 runs for the first wicket while Rohit got off to his individual fifty runs. Soon after crossing the 100 run mark, Dhawan departed as Nicholas Pooran grabbed an excellent running catch of Fabian Allen. Shortly after that, Rishabh Pant followed as he failed to get under a fuller delivery from Khary Pierre.

Rohit Sharma continued the onslaught as he brought his fourth T20I century as India finishes on 195 runs at the halfway mark.

This is a massive total for India after the start they got. Things got worse for Windies as they lost Shai Hope right at the beginning of the innings as Khaleel Ahmed rattled his timber.

Although Shimron Hetmyer and Darren Bravo tried to resist, Khaleel struck for the second time to dismiss Hetmyer. Since then it was Kuldeep Yadav again, who got two wickets to have Windies at 52 for four in eight overs. India continued their dominance with the ball as they rattled the middle-order with pacers coming into play.

The poor effort with the bat for Windies continued as once again they faltered to let the series go off from their hands. The men in blues produced yet another clinical effort to beat Windies by 71 runs at Lucknow.
