A shocking incident took place during the fourth one-day international between India and Windies as angry fans loot cold water from vendors amidst water crisis.

Meanwhile, India presented a clinical effort following a humiliating loss at Pune to beat Windies by 224 runs to go 2-1 up in the five-match ODI series at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

The innings revolved around a partnership of 211 between Rohit and Ambati Rayudu, both finishing with hundreds to entertain the crowd. While Rohit added 162 runs, Rayudu continued his superb form to notch a hundred. There were many more hits to the boundary as the game progressed, as India smashed 202 off the final 20 overs to soar to a total of 377. In reply, Windies, who showed enough grit in the last two fixtures, crumbled under pressure of a huge target.

Khaleel Ahmed was the star of the show bagging three wickets along with Kuldeep Yadav. Moreover, Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged one wicket each as they knock Windies out for mere 153 runs.

Meanwhile, much to the surprise of the fans, there was no drinking water available. When the vendor was as about drinking water, he replied saying he only had cold drinks as water was out of stock. It was then that the spectators lost their cool and looted the cold drinks from the vendor.

The incident took place at CCI Gate Number 5, Block Number 14 at the stadium. While the fans were willing to pay Rs 40 for a bottle which was worth Rs 20, things went out of control where there was water crisis, and the fans could not find any water bottles which are usually available for the fans. As the spectators looted cold drinks, despite being present at the venue, the police officials did nothing to bring the situation under control.

The fifth and final ODI of the series will be on November 1 (Thursday) at Thiruvananthapuram.
