Former Indian skipper Bishan Singh Bedi has questioned playing against Windies before the Australia tour. Bedi believes the Windies have plenty of problems. However, Bedi believes that India also has issues of their own. The former left-arm spinner also said India played with two wicketkeepers in their playing XI and could not find any solution.

Rishabh Pant had made his debut for the Indian team in ODI cricket. However, he didn’t have an ideal ODI debut. Pant had a disappointing day in the field as he was not up to the mark.

He also dropped a catch of Windies skipper Jason Holder. However, he didn’t get his chance with the bat as India won by eight wickets. On the other hand, MS Dhoni’s current form is also under the scanner.

Meanwhile, it was a one-sided affair in the Test matches. India went on to win the first Test match by an innings and 272 runs which is their biggest win in red ball version while playing at home. The hosts also won the second Test match by ten wickets.

However, it was a much better performance in the first ODI by the Windies. They were able to put a competitive total of 322 runs in their allotted 50 overs.

Shimron Hetmyer was instrumental in getting his team to post a par score after the southpaw batsman scored his third ODI hundred. The left-hander scored 106 off just 78 balls as he batted in the topmost gear.

On the other hand, the target of 323 was a cakewalk for India as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma put together a partnership of 246 runs. Thus, India was able to outplay the Windies side.

Bishan Singh Bedi took to his Twitter account to share his thoughts. Bedi post read as, “‘Twas total massacre of mediocrity n Gauhati-Windies don’t have problems..they need to climb mountains of Cricketing credibility..while Indns have problems which playing two ‘Keepers & not finding any solution..seriously who’s idea was 2 play Windies b4 OZ adventure?!”
