India had won the fourth match of the five-match ODI series against the Windies and is leading the series by 2-1. However, from the four games played so far, eight batsmen have scored centuries. Meanwhile, at Brabourne, and under lights the ball moved around, testing the technique of the Windies batsmen in probably the only phase where the ball dominated the bat in the entire series. However, ahead of the final game, we get to know a bit about the surface.
“We have prepared a wicket that will assist batsman and free stroke-play, and like other matches, we can expect a 300-plus total here also,” said Jayesh Goege, former Kelera Cricket Association secretary and general convenor of the first ODI match in Thiruvananthapuram after 30 years.
The Sports Hub hosted its first international game last year. Moreover, due to rain, a T20I between India and New Zealand got curtailed into eight overs. There was a noticeable thing that the bowlers were able to grip the seam, and it was coming off the wicket. It somewhat became a difficult task for the batsman play strokes very easily.

“There was obviously some dampness underneath because of all the rain that time. This time, we have got enough sunshine for the preparation of the wicket, and the ball is expected to come onto the bat,” Jayesh added.
Moreover, the Greenfield international stadium hosted only one first-class match way back at the beginning of the 2017-2018 Ranji Trophy. In addition to that, a practice match was held the last week. Both the teams had scored more than 200 runs from 30 overs.
