Former England skipper Michael Vaughan believes India have found a superstar in Prithvi Shaw. The 18-year old batsman scored his hundred on his Test match debut and thus Michael Vaughan is impressed by Shaw. In fact, the prodigy batsman has shown the promise to tbe the future of Indian cricket. Shaw batted at the top of his game as he looked to attack from the get-go. Thus, the young batsman was able to hit the ground running.

Meanwhile, India’s rookie batsman Prithvi Shaw became the fourth youngest Test centurion on his debut. Shaw joined the likes of Mohammad Ashraful, Hamilton Masakadza and Saleem Malik in the elite list.

Shaw took 18 years and 329 days to get his maiden Test century in his maiden appearance for the Indian team. In fact, the prodigy batsman became the second youngest Indian batsman to score a hundred for India.

Sachin Tendulkar is the youngest Indian batsman to score his century when he was just 17 years and 112 days old against England.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh batsman Mohammad Ashraful is the youngest to score a hundred on Test debut. The right-hander reached the three figures mark when he was just 17 years and 61 days old.

On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw showed great confidence in his maiden innings. The right-hander batted in the topmost gear as he has struck 17 boundaries thus far in his innings. The young batsman played the ball right under his eyes and showed no signs of nervousness in his maiden innings.

Shaw batted in the topmost gear as he didn’t take any kind of pressure on his shoulders. The rookie batsman was well accompanied by Cheteshwar Pujara.

Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to share his thoughts. Vaughan post read as, “Wow .. 18 yrs old @PrithviShaw .. Test ? on debut .. Looks like #India have another superstar that has arrived on the scene !!! #INDvWI”.
