Of late, it seems like Rohit Sharma is walking on the path of Virat Kohli in breaking the top-notch records. Recently, he surpassed Indian great Sachin Tendulkar and David Warner for scoring most number of 150+ scores in ODI games. Now, he is on the verge of breaking Shahid Afridi’s record of scoring 200 sixes in fewer innings against the Windies.
Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi tops the list, as he took 195 innings to smash 200 sixes to his name. However, it is not in a secured place with Rohit Sharma reaching the milestone with jet speed.
Rohit Sharma requires six sixes in next 11 innings:
Rohit Sharma featured in 183 innings in his ODI career and already smashed 194 sixes to his name. If he gets six more sixes in the next 11 innings, he will become the fastest batsman to amass 200 sixes in ODI format of the game.

The recently-retired AB de Villiers is second on the chart, who took 214 innings to smash 200 sixes to his name. However, the World boss, Chris Gayle follows him on the list.
Surprisingly, Gayle took 241 innings to reach the feat. For India, MS Dhoni is the only Indian cricketer to surpass 200 sixes in the ODI format of the game. Meanwhile, he took 248 innings to reach the feat and join the swashbucklers’ chart.

Another stalwart player to embed on the list is Sanath Jayasuriya. However, he took as many as 343 innings to reach the feat. Probably, Rohit Sharma would love to finish the task before the conclusion of the ODI series against the Windies.
Coming to his form, Rohit is in a sensational touch, who is scoring centuries on a regular basis. Since Asia Cup 2018, Rohit Sharma seems to be in a different platform to the rest of the batsmen in the cricketing world. Meanwhile, he will be preparing to take on the Windies in his next assignment on Wednesday.
