What a scintillating knock it has been from Rohit Sharma’s willow at Mumbai? The right-handed batsman demolished the Windies bowlers to bring the 21st century in his ODI career. Meanwhile, he surpassed yet another Sachin Tendulkar record before registering a daddy hundred.

Of late, it seems like all the youngsters are after Sachin Tendulkar’s records. The latest to surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s feat is Rohit Sharma, who leapt the Master Blaster in knocking most sixes for team India.

Rohit Sharma becomes the second leading six-hitter for team India:

During his stunning knock in Mumbai, Rohit Sharma clobbered four sixes to his name. Meanwhile, the second six pushed him to the second place on a list that reads the leading six-scorers for team India.

In total, he registered 198 sixes for the Indian team. On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar finished his career with 195 sixes, which was the second best for the men in blue.

However, the former skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is leading the chart with 211 sixes to his name. He is also the only Indian cricketer to cross 200-mark by an Indian in the One-Day Format of the game.

However, it seems like MS Dhoni’s record of being the leading six-scorer might not in a safe place. As per the Rohit’s form, it looks like a cake-walk for him, to overtake the record.

During the course, the owner of three double centuries in ODI format has the chance to become the fastest to score 200 sixes in One Day cricket. Currently, Shahid Afridi is leading the chart. The other two names on the chart are Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh, who are placed 4th and 5th. Ganguly smacked 189 sixes while Yuvraj Singh slogged 153 sixes.
