India vs Windies 2018: Sachin Tendulkar Speaks Highly of Virat Kohli

The Indian batting legend, Sachin Tendulkar praised the skipper Virat Kohli for completing 10,000 runs in the One Day Internationals against the Windies in the second ODI in Vishakapatnam. However, Virat Kohli was just short of 81 runs to achieve the feat before the start of Vizag’s match.

Sachin lauds record-breaker Kohli

Earlier, Virat was given rest from the Asia Cup 2018 to release some workload off his shoulders. Moreover, Kohli made a good comeback in the ODI series against the Windies. Even in the first game in Guwahati, Kohli hit a brilliant 140, whereas, Rohit Sharma slammed unbeaten 152, which helped India win the game by eight wickets.

Moreover, Virat Kohli has been in sensational form in 2018. He scored his 36th ODI century in the first match against Windies following another century in the second match. However, Virat became the fastest to go past 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. However, he took ten years 66 days to achieve this feat. Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid was the previous batsman from Indian team to reach the landmark after ten years 341 days.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Ambati Rayudu added 139 runs for the third wicket. However, his century had helped India post a challenging 321 for six in Vizag.

However, Sachin Tendulkar is pleased with the performance of Virat Kohli. He congratulated the right-hander for achieving 10,000 runs in ODIs. Sachin also recommends him to keep playing the way he is doing the job for India.

“The intensity and consistency with which you bat is just amazing. @imVkohli, congratulations on achieving 10,000 runs in ODIs. Keep the runs flowing.”

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli also completed his 37th ODI century, as his 157 runs helped India to post a score of 321 runs. His 157 runs include thirteen boundaries and four massive sixes. Windies player had dropped Virat Kohli’s catches for two times, and he had taken the opportunity and made the landmark.
