With the series already done and dusted, India may like to test their bench strength in the dead rubber against Windies on November 11. Thus, Washington Sundar and Shreyas Iyer might get a chance to play the last and final match of the three-match T20I series.
Meanwhile, the Chepauk stadium will once again present a flat deck giving a tough time to the bowlers. Although it is monsoon in Chennai, there has been no rain for the last few days. Moreover, the weather department forecasted that there would be no rain for the next three days.
“The track will behave true and both the Indian and West Indian and West Indies batsmen can score big if they apply themselves,” an official said.
In addition to, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav have been rested for the final match.

Siddarth Kaul has been included in the team. There’s a chance that India will test several fringe players like Washington Sundar and Shreyas Iyer who haven’t got a chance yet.
The players got a small break after the second T20I as they went back home to celebrate Diwali with their families. However, now the players will come to Chennai on Saturday for the third match, i.e., one day before the game.
“They have defeated West Indies in Test, ODI and T20 series. So they are enjoying a well-deserved Diwali break. They will be here only on Saturday,” he said.

Furthermore, the tickets were not sold according to the expectations. Chepauk had a capacity of 24000; however, it might not see a full house. The Men in Blues will be playing without the two greats – MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, which can be the main reason.
