Former India captain MS Dhoni appeared quick on his feet during the Guwahati ODI against the Windies. After India decided to bowl first, the Windies started off on a good note. However, a few quick wickets here and there did put a halt to their brisk beginning. Later, there were a few attempts from MS Dhoni on the pitch which received the biggest pop-ups.
Aged 37, and appears to be running out of fuel, the ever-reliable MS Dhoni was seen running after the ball and grab a close catch. During Windies’ first innings, MSD saved a ball running towards the boundary off Hetmyer’s bat. Mohammad Shami’s delivery on the leg-side during the 22nd over, saw the swift MS Dhoni chasing the ball. The attempt saved India three important runs, as Hetmyer was hitting the ball hard.

Later, Shai Hope’s top-edged delivery saw Dhoni grabbing the easy catch off Shami’s delivery. Much to the enlightenment of the Indian fans, MS Dhoni came to the party. However, Windies first innings saw Simron Hetmyer completing his third ODI ton. Speaking off MS’ batting form, he’s been out of touch as seen in the Asia Cup 2018. Meanwhile, the India captain Virat Kohli and the team management would want the veteran to come good with the bat in the Windies ODIs.
