It was a comedy of errors when Windies batsman Shimron Hetmyer was run-out. Firstly, it was a big mix-up between Shimron Hetmyer and Sunil Ambris. There were a lot of yes and no between the two batsmen as both of them found themselves chasing one end of the pitch. However, Ravindra Jadeja who was fielding at mid-on took a lame approach to get Hetmyer run-out.

India’s all-rounder just jogged to the stumps. In fact, Hetmyer had no chance to get back into the non-striking end. However, when he noticed that Jadeja is taking it easy, he tried to get back into the crease and had to travel the whole 22 yards.

Jadeja took his own time.

In the end, Jadeja was finally able to hit the stumps from a close distance. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Indian skipper Virat Kohli were surprised by Jadeja’s peculiar approach.

Kohli was seen saying to Jadeja that it was closer than what you would have thought. Subsequently, the whole Indian team was seen having a laugh at Ravindra Jadeja’s lame approach.

Meanwhile, India was able to put up a mammoth total of 649 runs as Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja scored hundreds. However, Rishabh Pant had missed out on his hundred as he scored a blistering knock of 92 runs off just 84 balls.

On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja was able to bring his maiden Test hundred. Jadeja changed gears after scoring his tenth fifty. Furthermore, Jadeja was able to take a wicket on his first ball as the outside edge of Sunil Ambris bat found Ajinkya Rahane at first slip.
