Finally, the visitors draw the blood in their tour to India with some serious display of cricket at Pune. Yet another scintillating knock by Shai Hope followed by the collective bowling effort helped Windies bag their first point in the series. Meanwhile, skipper Jason Holder is the happy man in the presentation ceremony.
Initially, it was Shai Hope, who has been exceptional with his willow. His incredible 95-run knock was followed by Ashley Nurse’s 40-run cameo, which gave an edge for the visitors.
We need to be consistent – Jason Holder
Speaking of the match, the skipper of Windies Jason Holder gave the credit to the boys for their fine display. He also pointed out India’s lack of proper batsman, which they targeted to make it tough for India.

Further, he went on to add saying that they knew the wicket of Dhoni would make the difference. Holder wants the team to be consistent and repeat the show once again before heading into the grand event.
”Credit to the boys. We hung in the game for as long as possible. I should have gone deeper. Something to learn there. We hung in there. They were probably a batter short. We knew if we remove Dhoni, we could get in to their lower order. He is a competitor. I know what to expect from him,” Jason Holder quoted in post-match presentation.

”He keeps it tight and gives us wickets at regular intervals. The guys are learning better. We just need to be consistent. We need to buck up more. If you want to be one of the best team, you have to be consistent in all aspects of the game,” Jason Holder inferred.
However, the win by Windies gave India a lot to ponder over their team balance as well. Meanwhile, the visitors would be satisfied with the astounding win.
