Perhaps, the evolution of franchise cricket has done more harm than good for Windies Cricket. They have got an incredible talent but the lucrative contracts in the franchise cricket are pushing the players to avoid the National contract. During the course, few youngsters chose to play for their country but unfortunately, failing to come good. Meanwhile, the head coach Stuart Law speaks on the issue.

Stuart Law quoted that Windies has always got the talent but he feels that the lack of application is denting them. Further, he also wants the players to react smartly, as per the situation of the game.

Sooner than later we will get better results – Stuart Law

He went on to add saying that they will come better with a better quality in their side. Meanwhile, Stuart Law also termed the current team is pretty young and has got the ability to learn from the mistakes.

“West Indies cricket is not about lack of talent. The skill level is always there. It’s about applying that skill, making the right decisions under pressure in the middle of the game. It’s a tough place to learn there at the middle,” Stuart Law said.

“Sooner than later we will get better results, better-equipped players. International cricket is a beast and to learn your cricket out there is a tough ask. It’s a young team and they are learning on the job. It is tough to learn in this environment against one of the best teams in the world, he added.

I hate losing – Stuart Law

Speaking of the recent losses, the head coach quoted that it is always a tough pill to swallow. He went on add saying that the boys will play for pride in the final game and hopeful of coming out better this time.

“I hate losing. It’s a tough pill to swallow. We haven’t had that much joy in this tour. It’s time for them to dig deep and play for pride and give it everything in the last game. If we play anywhere near to our potential we can beat any team on our day. We need to improve a lot to get to that stage,” Law inferred.

Well, as Stuart Law said, Windies has got a great talent in their country. All it needs a bit of nurturing and the discipline from the boys, which would do the world of good for the team.

I just love what I script. Over the years, Cricket has been my passion and crisping articles on it gives me an immense pleasure...Cheers...!!!
