The latest invention in the game of cricket, Day/Night Test matches has become a trend in Australia and England. Recently, in New Zealand, fans enjoyed the atmosphere, and it looked like golden days for the Test cricket are back. Meanwhile, BCCI landed a big bomb by not showing their reluctance to play Day-night Test. However, Diana Edulji is confident in making it possible.

Initially, it was expected that India would make their debut in the Pink ball Test when they tour Australia later this year. However, it wasn’t the case, as Virat Kohli-led side doesn’t look up for the challenge thus delaying the things.

Surprisingly, when asked about India’s missed chance against Australia in the coming November, She quoted it has happened, but it will change. It took the reporters by a surprise as the matches are already scheduled. So now, is there any tweak in the schedule?

“We are working on it (Day-Night Tests). It will happen, whenever it comes up,” Edulji said when scribes asked her about the Day-Night Tests. She was speaking on the sidelines of the ninth Dilip Sardesai memorial lecture at the Cricket Club of India here.

When asked where it will happen — abroad or India, Edulji said, “wherever.” Reminded that the BCCI missed out on the opportunity to play day-night Tests in India and Australia, Edulji said, “That happened, but it will change”.

However, it will be a great move by the BCCI if they start playing the Day-Night Test cricket as quickly as possible. With the continuous evolution of cricket, India needs to remain updated with the game.
