India's Tour Of South Africa 2017-18: Sony Pictures Network Announce Commentary Panel For The Tour

Sony Pictures Networks (SPN), who will be broadcasting the upcoming series between India and South Africa, have announced their commentary panel for the high-profile and much-awaited cricket battle.

The tour consisting of three tests, six One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals will be played across five venues in South Africa. The series between the top two Test and ODI sides is going to be an intriguing one, and there is no denying that the fans are eagerly waiting for it to start. And while a lot of fans are looking forward to flocking the stadiums to see the battle from close range, there will be millions who will enjoy the games from home. Well, for those who will be watching the games on their television sets, the Sony Pictures Network has ensured that they get an unparalleled experience. The series will be telecast on SONY TEN 1 channels with English commentary and SONY TEN 3 channels with Hindi commentary.

Not only that, but the broadcasters have also roped in an expert panel consisting of former players who have toured South Africa in the past in addition to ace commentator Harsha Bhogle and others. The addition of Jonty Rhodes adds the local flavour to the panel.

Meanwhile, India will be eyeing to win their maiden Test series in South Africa.  Since the first tour of the Rainbow nation in 1992, India has visited South Africa six times and are still searching for their maiden Test series win in the country.

Hopes are high that the current team can end India’s long wait in South Africa. Virat Kohli & Co. have been sitting on the top of the ICC rankings for quite some time now and have won their last nine series.

The tour will start with the three-match Test series which kick starts on January 5 in Cape Town.
