Islamabad United have already booked a spot for themselves in the final of the tournament after defeating Karachi in Dubai.

However, some of the international players have shown the great excitement of playing in Pakistan as International cricket has not completely resumed in the country. The last team to tour Pakistan was Sri Lanka in 2017 for a T20 series.

However, other international cricketers from outside the sub-continent showed great excitement about the playing in the country for the first time.

One of them is Chris Green who uploaded a video after reaching Pakistan and said:

“Just got to Lahore in Pakistan for the first time. Excited to be here, so are all my teammates tonight at the hotel, and we’re all are very excited for our play-off game against Zalmi….”

Quetta Gladiators official handle uploaded the video on Twitter and wrote:

“All-rounder @chrisgreen_93 cannot wait to see you guys at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore #QGvPZ #ShaanePakistan #Zordaar11.”

South African batsman Rilee Rossouw also expressed his excitement through a video and said:

“Hopefully everything goes well this year and the new recruits that are coming in really boost our side and we can get the job done this season.”

Commentator Alan Wilkin who did not get the country in the last edition also posted a picture on Twitter with Darren Ganga and wrote:

“Lovely evening last night at the Lahore home of my first captain, Majid Khan, still looking razor sharp, just like his wonderful batting. With @DarenGanga”

On the other hand, Darren Ganga was awestruck by the beauty of some of the religious places in Lahore and proclaimed the visit as ‘divine’. He wrote:

“Touring Lahore’s Old City today was breathtaking, seeing Shahi Hammam and the Wazir Khan Mosque alongside the Fmr. Pakistan Captain Majid Khan was divine…Pakistan Zindabad !!! @alanwilkins22 @thePSLt20 @TheRealPCB#DilSeJaanLagaDe”
