Rajasthan Royals will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the eliminator of IPL 2018.
The inaugural champions were able to seal the playoff place after winning seven matches in the league stages. Ajinkya Rahane-led team will have to be on their toes to beat a competitive side like Kolkata Knight Riders.
On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders were able to secure their playoffs place after winning eight matches. Men in Purple will like to be on the top of their game, as there will not be any second chances.
However, Kolkata Knight Riders hold its wood on Rajasthan Royals in this season. Dinesh Karthik-led team has won both the matches against Royals in the league stages.
Here is a look at the Predicted Playing XI of the Rajasthan Royals:
Rahul Tripathi
Rahul Tripathi had scored a fine knock of 80 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The right-hander will like to keep his good form going.
Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane will have to take the extra responsibility of opening the innings. Rahane should try to take advantage of the powerplay overs.
Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson form has dipped in the second half of the league matches. However, the onus will be on the flamboyant right-hander to deliver the goods.
Heinrich Klaasen
Heinrich Klaasen had done a good job in the last match. The Proteas gloveman had provided the finishing touches in the previous match. Klaasen had also kept well to the spinners.
Krishnappa Gowtham
Krihnappa Gowtham is one of the biggest positives for the Rajasthan Royals. The Karnataka all-rounder has done a fine job with both, bat as well as the ball.
Stuart Binny
Stuart Binny has had an ordinary season thus far. The all-rounder will like to come up with goods when it matters the most in the season.
Rajasthan will have to be at the top of their game.
Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer has done a good job for the inaugural champions. The Jamaican speedster has impressed, as he has extracted good pace.
Shreyas Gopal
Shreyas Gopal had scalped four wickets in the last match. Thus, the leg-spinner would be riding high on confidence after his match-winning performance.
Ish Sodhi
Ish Sodhi has done a decent job in the limited opportunities he has received. The Kiwi leg-spinner took one wicket and conceded 31 runs against RCB.
Jaydev Unadkat
Jaydev Unadkat has proved to be expensive in this season. The southpaw medium pacer will like to deliver a better performance. Unadkat had taken two wickets in the last match.
Ben Laughlin has taken two wickets in the previous match. The Australian fast bowler will like to rise to the occasion.
