Former Zimbabwe all-rounder, Heath Streak, has joined Kolkata Knight Riders in the capacity of bowling coach.
He will succeed Laximipathy Balaji, who has now joined Chennai Super Kings in the same role.
Balaji, who has also played for KKR in previous editions, was appointed as the coach of KKR before IPL 2017.
However, he made a comeback to CSK to join CSK’s coaching staff.
CSK is making a comeback to IPL after serving a ban for two years.
KKR roped in Heath Streak for the job, who performed the same role with Gujarat Lions during IPL 2016 and 2017.
Streak is currently the Head Coach of Zimbabwe.
He has also performed the role of bowling coach of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in past.
A veteran of 65 Tests and 189 ODIs, Streak is amongst best all-rounders in the history.
He will work with likes of Jacques Kallis and Simon Katich.
Kallis is the Head Coach of the franchise while Katich is the Assistant Coach.

Streak is all set to reunite with Karthik as the latter was part of the Gujarat Lions when Streak was the coach.
Robin Uthappa is the vice-captain of Kolkata Knight Riders after the franchise preferred Karthik over him.
KKR have likes of Andre Russell, Kuldeep Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Mitchell Johnson and Sunil Narine to name a few.
The franchise also has Inda U19 players like Shuvam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shubman Gill.
The two-time champions team opens its IPL campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 8 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
