Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Preity Zinta admitted to the fact that she wants Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the team. The Bollywood actress also rued the fact that she can never hope to have the Indian cricket legend in her franchise in the Indian Premier League.
When he was asked that whom she would like to have in her team from the current players in the IPL, Zinta didn’t hesitate to reply Dhoni but she knows that it might never come true.
“There is just one player who I have always wanted on my team but that won’t ever happen and that player is MS Dhoni. When the IPL started I wasn’t a Dhoni fan but from what I’ve seen of him in the last 10 years I’ve started to admire him,” Preity was quoted by India Today.
Preity further slammed the critics who asked Dhoni to contemplate retirement. However, Dhoni has silenced his critics with a terrific performance with the bat in the ongoing edition of the IPL.
“Last year everybody started saying Dhoni should stop playing but look at him this year. He is unbelievable and I think it’s unfair at every step to challenge a player once he reaches a certain stature. He doesn’t need to tell people who he is, he is Dhoni,” Preity maintained.

“I really admire him because he was a really terrific captain for India. The country won so much under him. Even when you see him on the ground he remains absolutely calm and collected. He remains gracious in defeat as well. When he wins he’s obviously amazing,” Preity stated.
Earlier in the month, Preity Zinta revealed that she was a Dhoni fan even though his side knocked him out of the tournament.
Dhoni has been a sensational performer over the years for the Super Kings and also for the national team.
The Ranchi-based veteran Dhoni has played a few great knocks this season and will hope to continue his good run in the final.
