Over the years, Indian Premier League (IPL) has garnered an immense support. It is concurrently considered as the best Twenyt20 professional domestic league in the world. Many cricketers have gone on to play for their country after making a mark in the IPL. The standard of cricket in IPL is high compared to other leagues across the globe. The impending league of IPL 2018 will witness fresh faces.
Meanwhile, IPL matches have been a favourite destination for maximum people during the summer time.
Further, people can spend only a few hours to watch a cricket match, unlike the traditional cricket form. Also, the tournament has got a terrific response over the last few years.
IPL Governing Council has almost registered 50 areas where they can actually present the sport.
Meanwhile, the majority of grounds in India have a mammoth seating capacity of a whopping 50,000-plus. The volume of stadiums in India differs from place to place. The venue of Kolkata is termed as the largest while taking the capacity into the consideration.
However, this edition of IPL will see nine grounds hosting the matches with Kings XI Punjab playing on two different grounds.
Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, who will come back into the cash-rich league will play their home-leg games in MA Chidambaram Stadium and Sawai Mansingh Stadium respectively. While Kolkata will play their home games as usually in the historic Eden Gardens.
Further, the 11th edition of IPL will start from April 7 with CSK taking on Mumbai at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
