Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the all-important toss and decided to field first against host side Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the thirty-second match of the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

Here is what the captains said:

Shreyas Iyer:

“I don’t think dew would come in. If it would have, it would have come by now. Lot of learnings from the last game, We took a lot of positives. We have got one change. We have one change. Shahbaz Nadeem comes in for Rahul Tewatia.”

Ajinkya Rahane:

“We are looking to chase. Wicket looks pretty good. We are going to back our bowlers in the first innings. We have been playing some good cricket. The mood in our camp is very good. D’ arcy Short comes in for Ish Sodhi. Shreyas Gopal comes in as well.”

Preview:

Both the teams are coming into this game after suffering defeats in their previous games respectively. Delhi started their journey under a new skipper Shreyas Iyer on a perfect note. They thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by 55 runs to revive their season.

However, they came crashing down to earth in the very next game with a loss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

As of now, they are languishing at the bottom of the points table with mere two wins in eight games. On the other hand, Royals are in the sixth position with three wins in seven games. They had squandered a great chance to win their fourth match this season in their last fixture against Sunrisers  Hyderabad (SRH).

However, they ended up making heavy weather of a relatively easy chase and eventually lost it.

The upcoming game may not just be do-or-die for both teams, but the game could very well decide the season for either of the teams.

With so much at stake, the impending game can be an exciting one.
