Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be desperate to keep their winning momentum going, as they face the table-toppers, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 17 (Thursday).
Meanwhile, RCB finds themselves on the seventh spot out of the eight teams. Moreover, they will have to win their last two games to hang in there by a thread, as their qualification for the playoffs also depends on the results of others.
However, they are on track beating Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab. They will look to continue the winning momentum going against the Sunrisers.
Virat Kohli will breathe a sigh of relief, as their bowlers have started to make their presence felt. They did a superlative job in the last game, and Umesh Yadav will have to lead the pack.
On the other hand, SRH is fresh off a defeat to CSK, a loss that snapped a run of six successive wins. However, Kane Williamson’s side had already booked its spot in the playoffs at that stage.
But what has been truly outstanding for SRH is their diverse bowling attack. The bowlers, led by India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar (8), have been terrific.
They will want their batsmen to stand up and get some confidence back before the start of the playoffs.
Weather Forecast
According to Accuweather, there are chances of rain in the afternoon. However, it will go away leading to the game. RCB will desperately want full forty overs of action, as they badly need the two points.
Moreover, the temperature is likely to be cool and will be around 23-26 degrees Celsius from 8 pm to 12 am. Also, the dew factor is likely to play a part, and the toss will be important from both team’s point of view.
