IPL 2018: Not Sure if Twenty20 is a Batsman's Game, Says Tom Moody

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach, Tom Moody has admitted that he is not sure if Twenty20 is batsman’s game ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega final between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium on May 27.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad is the only team to win matches purely on their bowling skills. On few occasions, they didn’t score more than 160, normally an inadequate score in T20 cricket but still managed to skittle out their opponents for a much lesser total.
The bowling has been spectacular eventually led by the Afganistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan. In the last match, the 19-year-old was brilliant, as he single-handedly took his team to the grand finale. He scored 34 crucial runs off 10 balls and then returned to pick three important wickets to shift the game’s momentum.

T20 is not a batsman’s game: Moody
Moody expressed his delight with the bowling prowess of his team in this edition. He also lauded Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Sunil Narine for his consistency throughout the season.
“I’m not sure that I agree that T20 cricket is all about the batsman’s game. I think we’ve seen how over the recent years bowlers have significant influences in T20 games and tournaments. Yes, generally the odds are stacked in favour of the batsmen given the nature of the game but I think we’ve seen bowlers emerge over time to really challenge top orders and then you’ve got to look at someone like Sunil Narine who’s done it consistently for the whole of the IPL,” Moody said.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad have struggled with their bowling when they have played outside Hyderabad.
However, Moody didn’t seem to perturb with it and is happy that they are playing the coveted final.
In conclusion, Tom Moody lauded the fighting spirit of his boys as they came back to beat Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.
