In almost every season, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has given Indian cricket a lot of future stars. Players like Yusuf Pathan, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and many others made a big impression in this very tournament before making it big in the international circuit.

The ongoing eleventh edition of the lucrative Twenty20 league has not been an exception either. But unlike most of the previous seasons, the ongoing season has seen a much-needed change.

The eleventh edition of the IPL has seen young Indian pacers making their impression which has left even Mahendra Singh Dhoni impressed.

Ahead of the final against Sunrisers, the Super Kings skipper insisted the season is different because of the way the pacers have impressed. He also stated that the pacers performing is a big positive for Indian cricket in particular.

“This season has been slightly different…We have seen a lot of Indian fast bowlers coming and performing consistently. They have executed very well. So their performance has been a big positive for Indian cricket,” Dhoni said ahead of the grand finale during a press conference.

Some of the young bowlers who have impressed this season are Deepak Chahar, Shivam Mavi, and Avesh Khan.

Chahar has become an integral part of the Super Kings’ playing eleven. His ability to pick up wickets early on without conceding much in the powerplay has left many impressed. On the other hand, Mavi and Avesh have impressed with a brisk pace.

Meanwhile, Super Kings will be looking to cap off their comeback season in dream style. The Super Kings are just a win away from winning their third IPL title. They are up against a side whom they have already beaten thrice this season – Hyderabad.
