Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals has unveiled a brand-new anthem. The management launched anthem on Sunday (March 18) for the lucrative league. Under the leadership of Steven Smith, Rajasthan will face off Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening campaign.
Ahead of the IPL 11, the co-owner of Royals Manoj Badale dedicated it to the fans. While adding the fans are eagerly awaiting to see the team taking the field. The broadcasting giant Star Sports organise the programme.
The team song is rewritten as ‘Phir Halla Bol’ and pertinently, in Jaipur during a Game Plan show the anthem has been unveiled.
“Our anthem has been unique in the sense that it is soaked in the flavour and colour of Rajasthan. PHIR HALLA BOL is a tribute to our fans who have awaited with anticipation to see us back in the Indian Premier League,” Badale said.
However, Rajasthan-based folk singer Ila Arun sung the Royals’ anthem.
The Jaipur-based outfit missed out two editions of the domestic professional Twenty20 league including Chennai Super Kings.
“I am absolutely certain they would love our anthem PHIR HALLA BOL, and by the time Rajasthan Royals play their first match in IPL this season, it will be on everyone’s lips,” said Badale.
Moreover, the IPL franchise has made its return after the hiatus of two years following the IPL spot-fixing scandal saga. It subsequently rocked the Indian cricket.
Interestingly, the anthem gives one the feel of the culture and tradition of the Rajasthan.
Talking about the contours, it further reveals how the love for cricket in Rajasthan has emerged.
“It gives us immense pleasure and happiness to reconnect with our fans,” maintained Badale on behalf of Rajasthan Royals.
Owing to the film, it further reflects the ethos and emotions the people share. However, the love for the gentleman’s game stands tall.
Earlier, for the first eight editions, the anthem was referred to as ‘Hala Bol’.
The cash-rich competition will be beginning from April 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. CSK will take on defending champions and hosts Mumbai Indians.
