IPL 2018: Rashid Khan Thanks Fans and Management for Extended Support

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) cricketer, RashidKhan thanked all the supporting staff and the fans for overwhelming support as an outstanding tournament comes to an end for the Afghanistan leg-spinner.

Although, the 19-year-old Rashid finished on the losing side, he had an outstanding time in India while leading the SRH’s spin-bowling attack.

The star spinner finished the league with 21 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.73. Moreover, in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he put an all-round show to take his team over the rope.

The promising prospect Rashid remained unbeaten on 34 runs from 10 balls only to return to pick three wickets along with two catches and a solitary run-out. Owing to the stellar performance, Rashid took the team to the grand finale of IPL 2018.

However, things didn’t go as they wanted in the summit clash. They lost to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets at the Wankhede Stadium.

Opting to field first, CSK led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni saw Hyderabad post a competitive total of 178 runs on the back of crucial knocks from Williamson (47) and Yusuf Pathan (45*).

However, their total eventually became a stroll for Chennai, who adequately propelled by an unbeaten 117-run knock from Shane Watson with nine balls to spare.

Meanwhile, as he sets to go back home, the young wrist spinner left an emotional message on social media. He admitted that he is not happy with the results, but praised the effort put in by the players.

Rashid Khan also thanked all the support staff and fans for all the support throughout the league.
