IPL 2018: Watch - Rohit Sharma Lands Awkwardly on his Shoulder; Sustains Injury

Mumbai Indians skipper, Rohit Sharma suffered a shoulder injury while attempting to catch against Delhi Daredevils in the game number 55 of IPL 2018.

Rohit was seen in a lot of pain and thus there are doubts whether he will bat or not. Meanwhile, this is a must-win encounter for the defending champions, and Mumbai would be hopeful of their captain getting fit before time.

Rohit was fielding on the point position when he landed awkwardly on his shoulder while attempting to catch a ball hit by Vijay Shankar.

Mumbai think-tank will hope Rohit Sharma recuperates quickly.

Delhi Daredevils was able to put 174 runs after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Thus, Mumbai will require the services of their captain who is their best batsman.

However, Rohit isn’t in the best of forms, as he has averaged a mere 13 in the last four matches.

However, Rishabh Pant 64 runs off just 44 balls was able to power Delhi Daredevils to a competitive score of 174. Vijay Shankar was able to provide the finishing touches, as he scored a quickfire 43 off just 30 balls.

There is no permutation and combination to be calculated for the Mumbai Indians.

The three times champions need a win to advance to the playoffs stages. However, a loss in this match will close the playoffs door for the defending champions.

There is no still no update on the injury of Rohit Sharma, and it would be interesting to note whether he will bat or not in the imperative match.
