The Indian team Under-19 captain Prabhsimran Singh has been bagged by Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2019 Auction for a whopping amount of INR 4.80 Crores. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians went for the 17-year old batter. The right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman is a clean hitter of the ball and leads the Under-19 ODI side.

Thus, it would be a great opportunity for the prodigy batsman to play with one of the best in the business. Prabhsimran Singh would be playing in the IPL for the first time and it would be great exposure for the 17-year old wicketkeeper-batsman.

Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab who had the maximum purse limit went for a lot of players. Kings XI Punjab has grabbed the services of Sam Curran for INR 7.2 Crores. Punjab team has also taken the services of Mohammed Shami for INR 4.8 crores. Shami is in fine form in the recent past as he has bowled with fire.

Furthermore, Kings XI Punjab has taken the services of Nicholas Pooran who is expected to take the wicketkeeping duties for the Punjab side. KL Rahul had donned the wicketkeeping gloves in the previous season of the IPL.

KXIP is yet to savour success in the history of the IPL and would like to go all the way in the forthcoming edition. The Punjab franchise had made it to the finals of the league in the 2014 season.

On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab had a brilliant first half of the IPL 2018. However, they could not carry on the same form in the second phase of the league.
