Yuvraj Singh scored 65 runs in the six innings in the previous season of the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab. Thus, the retention of Yuvraj in the Kings XI Punjab hangs by a thin thread. In fact, the talisman batsman isn’t in the best of form in the recent past.

Furthermore, he was not even included in the Punjab squad for the ongoing Ranji Trophy. Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab had pushed Yuvraj Singh down the batting order which didn’t give him a chance to finish the matches for the franchise. Yuvraj didn’t receive a lot of balls to hit the ground running.

Yuvraj Singh is not even picked for Punjab in Ranji Trophy.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj has always been a fighter and there is no word like give-up in his dictionary. In fact, Yuvraj Singh has always been a big match player and he has proved it time and again. He was the architect of the 2011 World Cup win as he was the Man of the series for delivering with both bat and ball. Thus, Yuvraj has returned back to the gym to stay at the top of his fitness.

On the other hand, Yuvraj needs to work on his fitness to bring his top game back to the table. In fact, Yuvraj Singh was always a live wire in the field. However, his ground fielding has also taken a downward slope.

Thus, Yuvraj needs to tick the right boxes to make a solid comeback. He was able to return back from the deadliest disease and even went on to play for India again.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj has never savored success in the Indian Premier League folklore. The southpaw batsman has played 128 IPL matches in which he has scored 2652 runs at a mundane average of 24.79 and strike rate of 129. Furthermore, he has taken 36 wickets in his IPL career. Therefore, the numbers don’t tell a merry story as Yuvraj is a world-class batsman.

IPL auctions are going to take place in Jaipur on December 16 and there is a good chance that Kings XI Punjab might decide to release Yuvraj Singh.
