And, finally, the wait is over for the auctions for IPL 2019. It seems like Delhi Capitals have come up with the decent plans for the upcoming season. They have bagged their second player of the day and it was Axar Patel, who gave his valiant services over the years for Kings XI Punjab. They bagged him for INR 5 Crores.

Axar Patel can offer goods in every section of the game, as he got unique skills. He has got the knack to bowl those economical overs and can be the fire booster in the batting department at the slog overs. Besides that, Axar Patel can also be the floater for the team, as T20 always demands change in the batting lineup.

Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab involves in a bidding war for Axar Patel:

The previous year hasn’t gone that well for the youngster, who was released by Kings XI Punjab for IPL 2019. However, they wanted him to take back through the auctions and tried their best in fighting with Delhi Capitals. But, unfortunately, they couldn’t bag his services, as Delhi was pretty determined in bagging him.

Coming to his career stats, Axar Patel has appeared in 68 IPL games and scored 686 runs to his name by bagging 61 wickets as well. He bowls at an economy rate of 7.8 with an average of 28.93. He whacks the ball at 126.57 strike rate.

Well, it has been a great addition for Delhi Capitals, as Axar Patel can add the international experience to their side. He has always been brilliant for his respective side over the years and hopefully, he will repeat the same for his new franchise as well.
