However, the franchise will now hope to do something new and try to put hands on the trophy for the first time in twelve years. Moreover, the owners of the Delhi franchise – Kiran Kumar Grandhi and Parth Jindal were confident the new partnership would work better for the upcoming edition. They were also cheerful about the fact that they have lots of young talent in their lineup. Also, they also pointed out the presence of young guns benefitting them in a longer run.
In addition to, Delhi Capitals traded three new players in their squad. Shikhar Dhawan who previously served Sunrisers Hyderabad is the new entrance for the franchise. He will now be opening with Prithvi Shaw while the likes of Rishabh Pant and the skipper, Shreyas Iyer will follow them next.

Furthermore, Delhi Daredevils had failed to deliver excellent results in spite of making frequent changes in their combinations. However, the franchise will now be keen to start up fresh by picking some decent players in the auction. They have Rs 25.50 crores left in their purse and can still buy ten players in their set-up.
Meanwhile, the fans were against the name of the franchise – Delhi Capitals and started hilariously trolling the owners. The social media has come up with some memes while many doubts whether this will help them in changing their game or not.
