IPL 2019: Dwayne Bravo Reveals the Secret Behind CSK's Success

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has revealed the secret behind the success of the franchise. CSK is one of the most successful sides in the Twenty20 league. In fact, not only Chennai has won three IPL titles but also they have qualified for the playoff stages on every occasion (excluding their two-years ban). Chennai has always retained the core of its team, which has played a key role in their success over the years.

Chennai Super Kings has played consistently and their players have come with the complete performance. The franchise’s players have shouldered the responsibility and they know what is expected of them. They have come up with the collective effort and they have played as a group.

Bravo has taken 136 IPL wickets.

In fact, in the previous season of the league, Chennai always had one player for every match. Thus, one player had taken the onus on his shoulders to carry the match through to the finishing line.

Dwayne Bravo said as quoted by the Chennai website, “Keeping the core group and retaining most of the players has been CSK’s strength over 10 seasons. It’s a belief and a reward at the same time.”

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings had backed an experienced squad in the 2017-18 auctions. However, they were trolled for picking the players who were over 30 years. Subsequently, the veteran players went on to show their value as they went on to win the title for the third time.

“We were aware for the name-calling, but you can’t beat experience, no matter. The way CSK went about picking the squad at the auction – experience along with some talented young players. The core of the team was kept, and that made a huge difference. Last year everyone doubted us, and we went on to win the crown.”

On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo said that unwavering support of the fans has also kept them going strong. The fans have always supported the Chennai team to the hilt and they have played a key role for the Men in Yellow. In fact, the training session of the club has seen people gathering in thousands.

“I think our fans have a big part to play, they are very passionate and they keep supporting us, and when visiting teams come here, they feel the pressure. It’s not going to be easy to come here and beat us.”

Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo has achieved great success for the CSK. The former Windies talisman all-rounder has been a key bowler in the death overs for the Chennai franchise.

Chennai Super Kings will begin their IPL campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk Stadium tomorrow.
