Delhi Capitals (DC) has reached the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2019 after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator of IPL 2019 on Wednesday (8th May) night at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium (Visakhapatnam).
After DC forced SRH to bat first, the Hyderabad franchise managed to score 162/8 (20 overs). In reply, DC successfully surpassed that target in 19.5 overs after losing eight wickets.

i) Bhuvneshwar Kumar is now the most-capped IPL player for SRH after playing his 86th IPL match for this side. During this match, he surpassed Shikhar Dhawan’s 85 IPL matches record for SRH.

ii) The right-arm pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is now the leading wicket-taker for SRH against the Delhi franchise. While he has taken 11 T20 wickets for SRH against the Delhi franchise, their former pacer Dale Steyn is in the second position with nine wickets against this same side.
iii) Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed becomes the leading wicket-taker for SRH as the left-arm bowler. By the end of this match, he has picked up 19 T20 wickets for this side. iii) By the end of this match, the opener Shikhar Dhawan has scored 503 runs in IPL 2019. After Gautam Gambhir (534 runs in IPL 2008) and Rishabh Pant (684 runs in IPL 2018), Shikhar Dhawan becomes the third batsman for the Delhi franchise to score 500+ runs in an IPL season.

iv) Amit Mishra became the second batsman in IPL history to be dismissed through obstructing the field. The first batsman to face this same unusual dismissal in IPL history was Yusuf Pathan (for Kolkata Knight Riders against Pune Warriors India on 15th May 2013 at Ranchi.
