IPL 2019 Final Likely To Be Held In Between May 12th to May 15th

Last Night, BCCI stated that the 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) will be played from March 23, 2019. But, the date for the final is yet to be decided. However, the latest reports suggest that the final will be played between May 12th to May 15th.
It is furtherly comes to know that the schedule for the lucrative tournament will be announced in February. The only wait to work on the IPL schedule is for the official declaration of the Election dates by the Government of India.
IPL 2019 to be played in India:
Once the election date is released, BCCI will announce their schedule for the upcoming IPL edition. Recently, the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) decided that IPL 2019 will be scheduled in India.
“Based on the preliminary discussions with the appropriate central and state agencies/authorities. It was decided that the 12th edition of the world’s most popular and competitive T20 tournament will be scheduled to be played in India,” the BCCI said in a release.
The franchisees, broadcaster and the other stakeholders will take a sigh of relief as the league matches are held in India. The overseas venue would have added to the operational expenses. And also, affected the on-ground sponsorship and gate collections.
According to a few reports, the IPL 2019 may not be held in the traditional home-away format. A caravan format may come into place due to the possible clash in dates with the elections.
Unlike every year, this time, the officials set to organise Indian Premier League at the start of the year. The only reason for the change in the dates is because of the upcoming grand event ICC World Cup 2019.
