Perhaps, there is some cold relation between Mitchell Starc and the Indian Premier League (IPL). Every time, the season arrives, Mitchell Starc will be out of it with something or the other issue. Much to the same, he got picked for a whopping INR 9.4 crores in the previous edition by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but was unfortunate to miss out the whole tournament.
It wasn’t the first time with Starc, as he was on the missing players’ list over the editions. Meanwhile, coming to the topic, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has released Mitchell Starc for the upcoming season.
I Got a Text Message from KKR Owners – Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc revealed he had received the text message from Kolkata Knight Riders’ owners about him getting released. Talking of the same, Starc feels this would help him heal his injury.

With the 2019 World Cup and Ashes Series on the line, Starc feels the break is a blessing in disguise for him. He wants to look after his injury and come back stronger with his express fast bowling.
“I got a text message two days ago from the owners of Kolkata saying I’ve been released from my contract,” Starc told reporters in Sydney. ”At the moment I’ll be home in April. I obviously didn’t go last year with my tibia injury and it was a great opportunity to freshen the body up, let everything heal by itself.”
Missing IPL is a blessing in disguise – Starc

“I guess barring a little niggle in my hammy I’ve felt pretty good with my body and my strength and the rest of it. That little period of time has really paid off for the body. If I don’t play the IPL next year it’s a good opportunity to freshen up for a massive six months of cricket in the UK.”
However, it seems like a pretty good tactical call from Kolkata Knight Riders. Starc has hardly been available for his IPL franchises over the years. And also, this would allow them to bag few other talents in the upcoming auction in December.
